Just like with any wound, poor care and unhygienic treatment can lead to infections and unwanted scarring. We want you to dazzle with the most radiant results, and that's why proper aftercare is key.
Now, let's talk healing time. From the moment your treatment is complete, it's like your skin embarks on a little journey of its own. It can take anywhere from two to six weeks for that freshly treated skin to fully recover.
During the procedure, your skin is delicately opened, creating a tiny wound. So, post-treatment, a bit of irritation or tightness is totally normal. You might even experience a slight swelling. But fret not, this is all part of the healing process.
As your skin heals, you might notice some scabbing. It's like nature's little band-aid. But remember, the magic pigment lies beneath those scabs, so resist the urge to pick them off. Trust us, it's worth the wait for that picture-perfect finish!
To ensure your skin heals like a dream and to achieve the most stunning results, we've got some top-notch advice lined up for you:
- Keep Them Dry: Avoid getting your brows wet for the first 7 days following the treatment. This includes avoiding swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive sweating (at least 2 weeks).
- Hands Off: Refrain from touching or picking at your newly treated brows to prevent any premature removal of pigment.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your brows 4 weeks from direct sunlight and tanning beds during the healing process. Use a hat or apply SPF to prevent fading of the pigment.
- Moisturize Gently: Apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare balm to your brows 2-3 times a day to keep them moisturized. Use clean hands or a cotton swab to avoid introducing bacteria. For extremely oily skin only 1 day of the aftercare balm is enough.
- Avoid Makeup: Steer clear of applying makeup, especially around the treated area, for at least one week. This prevents potential infection and ensures proper healing.
- No Exfoliation: Refrain from using exfoliants, retinol, or chemical peels on or around your brows until they are fully healed to avoid premature fading of the pigment.
- Follow-Up Appointment: Schedule your touch-up appointment 6 weeks after your initial treatment to perfect and maintain your PowderBrows.
